SGGW will co-create NAWA-EURAXESS network in the Mazovian Voivodeship
The Warsaw University of Life Sciences together with 5 research institutions from the region received full funding in the amount of 1,115,472.00 PLN for the implementation of a joint project entitled ‘Establishment of a regional NAWA-EURAXESS network in the Mazovian Voivodeship’, under the NAWA-EURAXESS Network programme (funding from European Funds for Social Development 2021-2027).
The project will be implemented from June 2025 to December 2028 and involves the creation and development of a regional EURAXESS network to support the mobility and career paths of researchers and increase the attractiveness of Polish universities and research institutions.
The leader of the project is the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), and the partners in the consortium are:
- Warsaw University of Life Sciences,
- University of Warsaw,
- International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (MIBMiK),
- Nalecz Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Polish Academy of Sciences
- International Institute of Molecular and Cell Machines, Polish Academy of Sciences (IMol).
The project aims to create an integrated system to support the career development of researchers from abroad and their integration in the region. The initiative is part of European efforts to build a friendly, competitive working environment for researchers, in line with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the recommendations of the EU Council.
The project will include, among other things, the development of cooperation with scientific institutions and state administration units, the organisation of training courses, workshops and study visits to improve the competence of the staff in handling foreign researchers, as well as integration and sports events.
The SGGW will be responsible for developing cooperation with regional authorities with regard to procedures for legalising the stay of foreigners undertaking scientific activity in the region.
