Welcome Day

Dear Students,

As the start of your studies at SGGW is approaching, we invite you to join our Welcome Day, an event tailored to meet you in person and provide some helpful information about SGGW and life in Warsaw.

 

When: 1 March 2025 (Saturday) from 12 pm – 15 pm.

Where: SGGW Water Centre (building 49 ), New Campus

 

The program includes:

  • Welcome message from the SGGW Vice-Rector for Internationalization
  • UNIgreen Alliance
  • WePoint (SGGW Welcome Point): get to know your university & legal stay in Poland
  • Main Library
  • Student Council
  • Erasmus Student Network

We welcome you to Warsaw University of Life Sciences and look forward to assisting you throughout your academic journey. To help you better prepare for your stay in Poland, we encourage you to participate in our online “PRE-WELCOME DAY”.

Topics to be covered during the event:

Culinary Integration Workshop for SGGW International Academic Staff

Foreign SGGW academics and interns met at an integrative culinary workshop. The event took place in a unique historical space – Villa Intrata, on the grounds of the King John III Sobieski Palace Museum in Wilanów.

Under the guidance of experts, participants prepared dishes inspired by recipes from ancient cookery books.

The meeting was organised by the International Relations Office as part of the project ‘Internationalisation of SGGW – Attracting Foreign Talent’, financed by the NAWA Welcome to Poland programme.

The event enabled the establishment of contacts and relationships between foreign scientists working or doing long-term internships at SGGW.

Welcome to Ecuador!

SGGW student, Cristian Olivares, from the Faculty of Applied Informatics and Mathematics, visited the primary school children and introduced them to his country, Ecuador, in an exciting and engaging way.

During the meeting the children took part in a quiz and received small gifts from Ecuador!

Welcome Day for New International Students

SGGW Student Council and WePoint invite you to join Welcome Day addressed to all newly admitted full-time and exchange students.

 

The event will provide an excellent opportunity to get insight into the university and get to know members of student organizations. Participants will be given information regarding the university structure and its units, student’s rights and obligations, health insurance, and public transport in Warsaw. SGGW Polish students will introduce Polish culture to their international fellows and present opportunities for integration into the student community.
Participation is mandatory, and no registration is required.

Date: 5th of October (Saturday), from 12:00 to 18:00.

Venue: SGGW Crystal Hall, building no. 9.
